I had trouble getting Auggie down for his nap.
So I blaired the following in his room:
Now I just need some recordings of dropping barbells and we’re golden. 😜
Friday night: first majors game of the season for my biggest guy. SO much less stress this year (for me) since it’s his second year. It’s way more fun and exciting. No worrying about if he can hang…he’s so got this!
Of course, one of his best buds, Con wanted to come watch. I might add I look awful in hats and Con almost hit a home run in the empty field behind Dallas’ game when he was playing pickup baseball with some other kids. We were very excited for him!
Saturday: 26.2 Relay Race
Team #nailedit. We are awesome. The end.
Do you know Heather Bergeron? Then you know what this is and you know what the term #nailedit means.
The guys won first place in the CrossFit division. They were fast. Like super fast.
The whole time I’m out running I feel like I’m going to cry. It’s awful. It’s also not because of me. It’s because I see other people working so hard and I’m so proud of them (yeah so what if I don’t even know them). I saw a man limping along, knee was bothering him, grimacing, moving slow, but m o v I n g nonetheless. I saw another older guy, overweight, pouring sweat, plugging away…it’s just awesome. Exercise is hard. Pushing yourself harder than you want, being uncomfortable for a little bit, but it’s worth it. You’ll feel better, sleep better, play better.

Sunday: Auggie’s Baptism and Baseball games and practice…yup, we are gonna fit it all in! More to follow 😉
This guy is 6. My “baby” is 6! He is probably one of the most persistent people I’ve ever met. One day, this will benefit him. Right now, it just drives his parents NUTS. Happy Birthday my sweet guy!!
We had a birthday party dinner for him at our house and I managed to get 2, only 2 pictures, but good pictures if there is only going to be 2. The top is Pete, his dad and all our boys (I think the Murphy name will go on for many more years 😂) and the bottom picture is Auggie’s Godmother, Ginnie. She’s in heaven here.
This boy will be crawling any second. He drags himself around a little now, but he is so ready to crawl. He’s also finally started to eat a little food. I mean a little. He probably took 6 bites of baby oatmeal mixed with some apple/strawberry this morning. That’s HUGE for him.
Holy shnikes! This is a snapshot of my calendar for next weekend. Three boys, 5 teams….baseball, baseball, baseball. It’s insane! We had Seamy’s birthday last weekend and this weekend it is August’s baptism (finally. I swore I was going to get it done earlier this time, but time slipped away from me and before I knew it, it was February and they don’t do them during Lent, so here we are in April).
I love this app. It’s called Cozi that another mom of many children (is 4 considered many these days?) told me about. It’s pretty cool. Everyone in the family has a colored dot so you can glance and see what people have something on any given day. You can also log in from anywhere so Peter and Dallas can get the app and see what’s going on. It also allows me to set the trash and recycling days #score.
It’s school vacation week and I love it! No making lunches, getting up a little later, moving a little slower in the morning, lots of play dates and catching up with friends. So far it’s been a good week, but then again, it’s only Wednesday. (“Stop being negative” -Peter) 😁
These two 😍. I should just have them wear these for Easter. Best dressed they’ve been in some time. Lol.
Good lawd help me! I just plugged in Dallas and Killian’s practice and game schedules for each of their 2 teams (4 teams total). Holy moly! It’s going to be a BUSY April and May. We still have the regular season schedule to plug in and then make room for Seamus. 😁
Made the collosal mistake of letting the boys put a basketball hoop up on the bathroom door downstairs. I thought it was loud before….
Last week on the nice day the boys decided to fly this huge tarp across the backyard like one of those parachute things when you’re little. You can’t see, but there are people under the tarp that is sailing over them. Pretty creative and a bit ghetto.
Easter fun with friends. Seamus just loves when Patti makes him paint his face like a bunny. Too bad #itstherules
Most don’t care, but the CrossFit Open is over and this is where I ended up, 1,204 out of 11,280 in the North East region. Not bad for a tired old lady with 4 kiddos. Next year I’ll be in the Masters division because I’ll technically be 40 which I find to be pretty depressing. My life is whizzing by!
Side note: I’m definitely not 5’3. What the hell was I thinking?
Happy Easter everyone! Hope you have a glorious day doing what you do!
